Visiontech Solutions was created in
2007 by Russell Hoeltzer and Karen
Loomis. Russell, who was born legally
blind found it difficult to find retailers
that had products and equipment to
function independently.

Karen, who is an Orientation and
Mobility instructor provided services to
individuals that needed skills in using
public transportation, using blind canes,
and braille.

Together, the supplied the Central San
Joaquin Valley with valuable services
and equipment to give a vision impaired
person with resources to do day to day
functions.

Russell was a recipient for the Hero's in
Health care award in 2007, appointed to
the commissioner's board for Fresno,
CA, and was responsible for getting the
first "totally" blind employee into the
Fresno City's "One Call Center". Russell
had also been Executive Director of
Valley Center for the Blind in Fresno,
and started the Blind and Low Vision
Resource Center, a non-profit
organization in Fresno.

Sadly, Russell passed away in October
2009. Today, Visiontech Solutions
continues to operate from the
Home/Office of his son, John DeMaira.

Today, Visiontech Solutions is a
preferred vendor for the California
Department of Rehabilitation, Stockton,
Fresno, Clovis, and Kings School
Districts, as well as retailer open to the
public.
